Turkish Preparatory Students Came Together for Breakfast

The Turkish preparatory students of the 2023–2024 fall semester gathered for a breakfast event with their instructors. The breakfast was hosted by DİLMER Director, Lecturer Mehmet Altınova. Students who will be studying in various departments of our university had the opportunity to meet and chat with both their classmates and instructors through this event.

Before breakfast, DİLMER Director Lecturer Mehmet Altınova addressed the students with the following remarks:
“The purpose of gathering here today is to allow you to meet your instructors before classes begin and to inform you about how the lessons will be conducted throughout the semester. We want you to know that we are here to support you with any challenges you may face. Together with all of our instructors, we are committed to helping you learn Turkish in the best way possible and to ensure your success when you move on to your departments. Welcome to all of you.”

Following this warm and heartfelt speech by Lecturer Altınova, the breakfast began. In a pleasant setting, students had the chance to have one-on-one conversations with their instructors. This gathering helped students adapt more quickly to university life and strengthened the bond between students and teachers. The conversations during breakfast also allowed students to connect and get to know each other better.

Throughout the event, everyone who attended the breakfast enjoyed delightful moments. Students had the opportunity to learn more about the university and the resources provided by DİLMER, while also gaining valuable insights into the process of learning Turkish. The personal attention shown by Lecturer Altınova and the other instructors made students feel more supported and confident.

Once again, it was clear that events like this contribute positively to students’ academic journeys and make their university life more vibrant. Many students expressed that the friendships and connections formed during this breakfast would continue throughout their educational paths.
