27 May Fable Genre and Fables in Turkish Literature Workshop
Our university’s Director of the Language Application and Research Center, Lecturer Dr. Mehmet Altınova, participated in the “Fable Genre and Fables in Turkish Literature Workshop” held at Istanbul Aydın University on April 29, 2025, with a joint presentation prepared with Lecturer Şule Kandemir titled “Fable Elements in Kemal Ümmî’s Masnavi Kırk Armağan.”
The presentation discussed the presence of fable elements in Kırk Armağan, an original 15th-century masnavi by poet Kemal Ümmî, and suggested that these elements could in fact be considered part of fable literature.
