TURKISH PROFICIENCY EXAM

 

IT IS RECOMMENDED TO READ THE EXAM RULES BEFORE THE EXAM.

 

STARTING THE EXAM

  1. Click on the link titled “Turkish Proficiency Exam”.
  2. The password previously given to you by the exam coordinator is entered into the system and the exam is started.
  3. Questions are asked in a mixed way. Different questions are asked to each candidate.
  4. During the exam, the environment in which the exam will be taken cannot be entered with materials such as mobile phones, headphones, smart watches, pens, erasers, etc.

 

CONTENT OF THE EXAM

  1. Arel DİLMER Placement Exam (Arel TSTS) consists of 50 questions of grammar and reading, 10 questions of listening, writing exam and a speaking exam. While the grammar, reading, listening and writing exam is done through the system, the speaking exam is done and recorded through the MICROSOFT TEAMS.
  2. The exam consists of four options. Participants should choose one of the appropriate options.
  3. In the exam, questions can be skipped and previously marked answers can be changed.
  4. The exam duration is 2 hours and 25 minutes with listening, writing and reading sections. A 10-minute speaking exam will be held. The speaking test is not included in 2 hours and 25 minutes exam duration.
  5. Points are not deducted for incorrect answers.
  6. At least 250 words should be written in the writing exam. Your writing must include the heading and the paragraph layout is also important.

 

TERMINATION AND CONCLUSION OF THE EXAM

  1. After the exam is finished, you should click the “End Exam” button.
  2. Questions you did not answer at the end of the period will be considered unanswered.
  3. Once the end exam button is pressed, no changes can be made.
  4. The exam results will be notified to the examiner or the relevant institution until 5 working days from the end of the exam.
  5. The participant’s certificate will be prepared in 5 working days. Our center is not responsible for the certificates of the person who does not receive his/her certificate within 14 working days.
  6. The evaluation of the exam is based on the score ranges determined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

In order to issue a certificate against the above scoring, there is a requirement to get a minimum score from four skills. This score is 15. If candidate gets less points from any skill (reading, listening, writing and speaking) a certificate is not issued, only a document showing the score is given.

 

OBJECTION TO EXAM RESULT

  1. Candidates have the right to object to the exam result within 3 working days from the announcement of the exam result. Objections made after this date will not be taken into account. Objection results will be resolved by informing the person.

 

CANCELLATION OF THE EXAM

  1. The exam of the candidate who is found to have cheated in the exam is deemed invalid and the deposited fee is not refunded.

 

STUDENT WHO DID NOT TAKE THE EXAM

  • Our candidates who make excuses will have the right to participate in the exam free of charge, provided that it is once. Istanbul Arel University ArelDILMER center will decide whether the candidate take the exam or not.
  • Students who do not participate in the exam without making an excuse will not have the right to participate in the exam.
