We Welcomed the Spring Semester with Istanbul’s Historical Texture

As DİLMER Turkish Preparatory Program, we kicked off the spring semester with an unforgettable trip around Istanbul. We spent a full day exploring the city’s rich historical and cultural heritage, creating lasting memories with our students.

Our first stop was the Museum of Turkish and Islamic Arts, where students had the chance to closely examine many artifacts from the Ottoman era. The exhibits showcased the richness and diversity of Turkish-Islamic culture. Students gained in-depth knowledge of history by learning detailed information about the displayed works.

Next, we made our way to the Topkapı Palace. Once the administrative center of the Ottoman Empire for centuries, the palace took our students on a true historical journey. They were fascinated by the grandeur of the structure and the unique collections inside. Exploring sections such as the Harem, the Imperial Gate, and the Holy Relics stirred great excitement as students traced the footsteps of history.

At noon, we took a relaxing break in Gülhane Park. Its green areas, flower gardens, and peaceful atmosphere helped our students unwind. The fresh scent of spring and the beauty of the park brought smiles to everyone’s faces. Our walk and conversations in the park helped strengthen the bonds of friendship among the students.

Our final stop of the day was the Istanbul Archaeological Museum. The ancient artifacts and ruins attracted great interest from the students. During the visit, our guide provided detailed explanations about the historical context and periods of the exhibits, satisfying the students’ curiosity. The museum offered not only historical knowledge but also deep insights into art and culture.

With this wonderful Istanbul tour, we made an energetic and enriching start to the spring semester. Our students spent the day immersed in history and culture, enjoying themselves while learning. As DİLMER Turkish Preparatory, we are delighted to have provided our students with such a memorable experience in the magical atmosphere of Istanbul. Seeing how such events positively impact our students’ language learning journey and motivation makes us truly happy.
